Description:

IBM is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join its internal technology infrastructure team in Bangalore, primarily aligned with supporting the IBM Finance organization. In this internal helpdesk and desktop engineering role, you will hold complete responsibility for the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and technical repair of workspace environments utilized by IBM employees. Your day-to-day responsibilities will span cross-platform operating system troubleshooting, mobile device management, hardware provisioning, OS reimaging, software migrations, and local/remote network connectivity resolution. You will systematically trace hardware/software faults, document resolution steps in an active knowledge base, and collaborate within a rotational framework to ensure optimal internal workspace availability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field).
  • 2 to 5 years of professional experience operating within an enterprise technical helpdesk, desktop support, or IT systems administration layer.
  • Strong operational and engineering command over standard workspace operating systems, including Windows (minimum 2 years required), Red Hat Linux, Mac OS, and mobile iOS platforms.
  • High proficiency configuring and restoring enterprise productivity suites, explicitly including Microsoft Outlook, MS Office, MS Teams, OneDrive, and Box cloud storage.
  • Proven ability to run hardware and software diagnostics independently, parse system errors, and execute hardware/software configuration setups without active supervision.
  • Solid structural understanding of physical and remote network architecture, including TCP/IP configurations, local printing networks, and internal corporate proxy setups.
  • Exceptional communication skills, an active service focus, and complete willingness to work within a rotational shift framework to support continuous internal business lines.
